I'm back

Yes, after a long hiatus, I managed to post again. I hope to be posting something more relevant than the  earlier post you'll find in this blog (in case you stumble here).

Sleeping Buddha has nothing to do with this post anyway... I just feel like sharing this picture. :)

Yama

The god of death, Yama, holds the wheel of life in his hands.

Be optimistic

When you fail, it does not mean that you are a failure…it does mean you haven’t succeeded yet.
When you fail, it does not mean you have accomplished nothing…it does mean that you have learned something.
When you fail, it does not mean that you have been a fool…it does mean that you have a lot of faith.
When you fail, it does not mean you’ve been disgrace…it does mean you were willing to try.
When you fail, it does not mean you don’t have it…it does mean you have to do something in a different way.
When you fail, it does not mean you are inferior…it does mean you are perfect.
When you fail, it does not mean you’ve wasted your life…it does mean you have a reason to start afresh.
When you fail, it does not mean you should give up…it does mean you should try harder.
When you fail, it does not mean you’ll never make it…it does mean it will take a little longer.
When you fail, it does not mean God has abandoned you…it does mean God has a better idea!

Ray of light

It's twilight; and, this beautiful effect of the sunset caught my attention. It's really spectacular to see the sun seeming to be selectively lighting this part of the world, straight to a coconut tree that got struck by a lightning just recently.

Not fair

Yea, in any manner, it's not really fair that creatures like these (right) ended up victim of human carelessness as a result of ones eagerness to dig more oil, more money. It made me feel really sad that despite of our knowledge about the harm that oil is doing to our planet, yet, we're still digging. Worst thing is that because of this extreme eagerness for the "oil", greedy capitalist are brave enough to dig even on hostile environments like the deep oceans.

To note: unlike other "oil spills" that occurred in the past, the BP Deepwater Horizon is really something for us to think over with regards to what source of energy we should use. Just imagine, this seemingly unstoppable "oil spill" is actually a geyser that blows thousands of barrels of oil a day! Just imagine what kind of damage that it is actually inflicting to our ecology?

Oil spill

I've got an old post regarding "oil economy" (please click here) and as you can see, I am condemning this product that is continually hurting our planet.

I wasn't surprised about the oil spill brought about by the explosion of Deepwater Horizon oil rig. It's a situation that might happen anywhere where oil rigs exist (every oil rigs are disasters waiting to happen!). Much more with it's effect to the environment specifically to the natural habitat of living organism that are directly affected by the oil spill. I hope all are aware that in case the oil spill won't be contained in the soonest time possible, it might cause an irreversible damage.

Here's another likely scenario that I guess, is haven't seen yet by the US and BP (I only guess): what if the oil spill and the extent of damage will reach other countries territorial waters? So who shall be liable?! the US or BP?

Think twice before quitting facebook!

Yea, I'm saying it! Though I really don't like facebook and I'm not trying to take any benefit from it and its galactic user base, I think it's not a good decision to just ditch it because of some issues that can be easily be resolved and recently being figured out by facebook itself.

Facebook, just like any other social network is an extremely useful social tool! It's a one stop shop: you can post status/updates; post pictures and videos; and, even post blogs! Generally, it's cool!

The issues being raised by users mostly can be modified by the end users themselves! Like, you can completely be anonymous - that the only thing people who are not your friends will find is your profile picture. It's really sad to think that people are ditching out a good service because of their own mistakes. I mean, it's not facebook's responsibility to when people got messed up because they failed to set their privacy settings properly.

How to deal with blogger's block

Well, my blog, just like any other blogs also is suffering blogger's block dilemma from time to time. I really can't push my self to post anything or write sometimes for one reason; because i wasn't paid doing it. yet, i sometimes ask myself that it's a sin to think that way about blogging... so i set up some points to make things more easy for me:
1. blog only relevant things - of course only those things relevant in my own point of view;

2. blog only when you feel like blogging - tho it'll be on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, it doesn't even matter if it'll take a year or more :);

3. and, don't blog reviews on your personal blog - tho this practice seems to be lucrative way of making money through blogging, it's to compelling and may even hog your blog.
Oh, it's really a beautiful Sunday anyway ... just imagine... i am here commenting and i already got something to post on my blog :)

Cheers!

P.S. I hate the fact that people are learning farmville and mafia wars but they don't want to learn how to blog.

Ozone friendly cargo ship

Looks weird but I guess it's nice to see diesel hungry ships like this sailing in our oceans with "sails" literally. :)

Life without...

We often complain to God for things that we lack. I remember a story about a young boy growing in an impoverished family. The young boy  is always complaining to his parents why they can't buy him new pairs of shoes.

One day, the boy and his father went to town and along the way they met a man with legs. The man was riding a cart that he paddles with his hand to move from one place to another. The young boy  looked pitifully at the man and said to his father that the man's condition is really heartbreaking. The father replied to his son, "You often complained about things we can't buy you because we are poor and unfortunate but did you ever realized that there are people that won't even be able to wear shoes."

I'd like to introduce you to one of the most courageous and remarkable person I've ever known!
